Security guy, busticati, professional button-pusher
My general interests include computer/network security/privacy. You can find some of my specific research topics below:
Addressing the Shortcomings of Black-box Web Vulnerability Scanners (my Master's thesis): identifying the weaknesses of modern black-box web vulnerability scanners and improving on their imperfections by employing better heuristics and designing a better class of tools.
CTF in the cloud: improving upon the challenges faced when hosting a large-scale Capture-The-Flag competition by designing a framework on a cloud-based infrastructure.
SMS/MMS-tunneling: exploring ways to use existing SMS/MMS technology as a vehicle for encapsulating higher-level protocols with the objective of proposing and implementing a reliable end-to-end tunneling protocol.
Browser fingerprinting: finding uniqueness in a user's web browser and using this information to possibly track/identify a particular web browser amongst a set of of many web browsers.
